Handling
incomplete questionnaires
It is not uncommon
for some participants to not answer all the questions on the questionnaire.
This can happen for a variety of reasons, including forgetfulness,
an unwillingness to participate in the assessment or the possibility
that the participant is unfamiliar with the business and having
difficulty answering the questions. You may have some idea of the
why a particular participant is not completing the questionnaire,
or even getting started.
In any case,
we suggest that you encourage participants as needed to logon and
complete their questionnaire. It may be helpful to remind them that
their input is completely confidential and private-no one else will
ever have access to their specific responses to the questions.
Use the e-mail
feature to send reminder messages to any participant--on the main
Intranet status screen simply click on the e-mail address for the
participant. An e-mail window will open where you can type your
message and send it immediately.
Ultimately,
questionnaires with more than ten unanswered questions cannot be
used to determine the Family Business Assessment scores for the company
and will be automatically excluded from the final results.
